During her time in Hong Kong, she worked at Hong Kong based fashion brands as an assistant designer and then as a fashion designer. She then moved on to work for the international sports brands NIKE and PUMA, focusing on the Asia Pacific market as design support and apparel product designer. She gained a lot of valuable knowledge and experiences in these five years with different fields including menswear, womenswear and kidswear. Her Masters collection is entitled SPACE TOUCH EMOTION AW2012/13. Through the research of Korean traditional languages as spoken words, the concept of verbal communication was explored in the unit one project. This concept, combined with modern dance as a way of non-verbal communication explored in the unit two project, underpin the field of research of human communication combining verbal and non-verbal methods. The DESIGN CONCEPT of the collection is based on the relationship of space, touch and emotion through human communication. The SPATIAL CONCEPT developed in the two dimensional pattern cutting interacts with the three dimensional through the contours of the body figures. Lines, surfaces, space and body interact with each other and create different levels of interstitial space between body and garment as a second skin of our body through the pattern cutting. It creates barriers and boundaries between the outside world and us. The TOUCHING CONCEPT tends to explore the different fabric materials with combining them for one garment and presents the different touching frequency we could accept from the outside world. The EMOTIONAL CONCEPT translates to the color gradation of the collection and presents the variation of human emotion. These three parts are intimately connected and thus share a very close relationship with each other. The development of one part would influence the other two parts significantly. || Credits || Photographer: Kevin Wong (www.kevin-wong.net , Everzine â bi-annual fashion magazine) Model: Pedro Bertolini ⨠Makeup: Namiko Takemiya Hair: Haruhide Ishizaki Stylist: Vigin Lo & Kevin Wong Accessory: Vigin Lo & Harlex (shop@saharlex.com) Footwear: Ross Barber design for Neil Barrett (www.ross-barber.com) || Contact || viginlo@gmail.com || || Website || www.viginlo.com ||
