BA (Hons) Fine Art: Painting
âEverything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we seeâ Rene Magritte There is an element of hoodwinking to my paintings. Perspectives are askew and sometimes multiple viewpoints fold into a space that creates an image at once familiar but estranged from reality and laws of physics. The surfaces are sometimes subtly disturbed and fractured by thin strips of veneer or even markedly sectioned off with heavily laid on paint. jamescliff.com
