MA Design Management for the Fashion Industries
As a trained Fashion Designer I decided to take on the MA Design Management Course at LCF to add another dimension to my education and understanding of the fashion business. Now I feel able to support my creative skills with branding, project and innovation management, e-commerce and marketing skills. Through the MA Design Management course I particularly discovered my interest in fashion branding, e- (and mobile) commerce and branded entertainment / product placement. I strive to keep a good balance between a creative and a business perspective. My dissertation focused on the concept of a high-fashion branded series, so called branded entertainment, a relatively new approach to product placement. A high fashion brand is producing its own entertainment series featuring its clothes, which can instantly be purchased while watching the show. The study explored the benefits for a high-fashion brand to produce an entertainment series with recurring characters and a consecutive, dramatic storyline. Further it provides the first theoretical framework for the implementation of a branded series. For more information about this project and it's findings, don't hesitate to contact me. My Design skills include proficient experience with Illustrator and Photoshop, good skills with Indesign, CAD Lectra Kaledo Style / Print, pattern cutting, sewing, development of digital prints and draping.
