MA Visual Arts: Printmaking
Jude Cowan Montague makes large scale experimental monotypes combining deep etching, cut-out and relief inking. She is a poet and musician and improvises picture stories for the viewer to create their own narratives. Influenced by fine artists and illustrators from the UK and America such as Roger Hilton and Saul Bass, her work is playful, full of colour and bold graphic shapes. In the twists and depths you may catch sight of characters performing secretive actions in imaginary landscapes.
