My current work is structured along two main concerns: the loss of the cultural heritage (of one indigenous group in Colombia) and the environmental issues related to the life cycle of consumption objects. This project seeks on the experimentation with natural dyeing processes (following the indigenous traditional methods) and the transformation of the fiber, in order to stimulate reflections on the fragility of culture and nature, putting forward plain observations of the death and rebirth of cultural mixtures. The presence of what remains of the indigenous traditional expressions is highlighted, by transforming the fiber through a crocheting technique that argues in favour of the sustainability of ancestral knowledge and environment. maafaleo@gmail.com
