BA (Hons) Photography
By evoking levels of interactivity while using traditional materials, my work is an attempt to exploit the gap between the use of traditional and digital media as an art form, drawing a contrast between the inherently duplicable nature of digital media and the âauraâ of uniqueness found in traditional art. On a different level, by using mirrors to reflect the observing viewer within the work, my images aim to challenge the viewerâs sense of ownership over their own image, at a time when the increased presence of digital media is causing the distinction between personal privacy and public property to become increasingly blurred.
